Front Counter Lead

The Counter Lead at Yeast & West Natural Bakery will assist the Company Director with the retail counter and customer service activities, including practicing and modeling company processes for product packaging, quality and display, customer relations, and retail sales, which meet company standards of excellence for safety, efficiency, sales benchmarks, positive work environment, and community engagement;

 

Other responsibilities include: support and training of the counter staff; collaboration and communication with Team on “front of house” operations, including regular reporting on customer and sales status and marketing; maintain counter staff schedules, training needs and plans.

Front Counter Personnel

The Front Counter Personnel will represent Yeast & West on a daily basis to our clientele! This position requires customer service skills and a great attitude. Our Front Counter Personnel are responsible for completing transactions on our Point Of Sale system, answering any and all customer questions, stocking/ maintaining our pastry case, and maintaining the cleanliness of our FOH area on a daily basis.

As the face of Yeast & West each candidate must prioritize and maintain good personal hygiene, clean workstations, and equipment for safe and efficient operations. Working in tandem with BOH kitchen staff will be paramount in maintaining smooth daily operations and to ensure success for the bakery at large.

Baker’s Apprentice

The Baker’s Apprentice will work directly under our Head Baker to gain experience, knowledge, and a deeper understanding of working in a kitchen and producing products with natural yeast. They will use their experience and understanding of ingredients and food preparation to execute proprietary recipes, creating natural yeast baked goods in an efficient, professional manner.

They will aid the Head Baker, in daily production, supporting the Bakery Assistants, and maintaining kitchen standards and practices. Candidates must possess a desire to continually develop in this role and gain a more in depth understanding of baking techniques, and collaborate to fine-tune product recipes and processes with the Head Baker and bakery team. Candidates must prioritize and maintain good personal hygiene, clean workstations, and equipment for safe and efficient operations.
